Financial email is filtered harder than anyone else’s

Fintech outbound runs into filters that most senders never meet. Anything touching payments, lending, crypto or financial advice draws extra scrutiny from providers and from the security gateways your prospects sit behind. The same email that lands fine for a project-management tool gets quarantined for you.

That scrutiny is not a reason to send less. It is a reason to be measurably clean: authentication that is exactly right, reputation that has never been dented, lists that contain only people who actually exist, and sending patterns that look nothing like the risky senders you are being compared against.

Warm-up does not get you there. It moves one signal, early, and it does nothing about the gateway rules and reputation history that decide whether a financial-services sender is trusted at scale.

How Folderly manages deliverability for fintech teams

01

Diagnose

We audit every layer that decides whether your email is delivered, including how the security gateways common in financial services are currently treating your domains. You get the specific reasons your email is failing, ranked by impact.

02

Fix

Your specialist corrects authentication, rebuilds damaged reputation, restructures sending patterns around what providers reward, and removes the list problems that keep re-triggering filters. Hands-on work by someone accountable for the outcome.

03

Monitor

Seed-based placement testing runs continuously across every major provider, so a change in how a gateway treats your domain shows up the day it happens rather than three weeks later as an unexplained drop in replies.

04

Compound

A clean, consistent sending history is worth more in a heavily filtered category than anywhere else. Managed continuously, your reputation becomes an asset that makes each subsequent campaign easier rather than harder.

What the platform covers

Authentication and DNS

SPF, DKIM and DMARC configured correctly and kept correct. In a category where receivers are already suspicious, an authentication gap is not a soft signal, it is an immediate reason to filter you.

Reputation monitoring and repair

Domain and IP reputation tracked across every major provider, with active remediation the moment a signal degrades. Financial senders get less benefit of the doubt, so drift costs you faster.

Inbox placement testing

Seed-based testing shows where your email actually lands, including behind the security gateways your prospects sit behind. Acceptance by a receiving server tells you nothing about what a gateway did next.

Email validation

Validation that checks ESP-specific filters and email protection tools, not just whether an address is syntactically valid. In regulated markets, emailing addresses that do not exist is a reputation problem you cannot afford.

Blacklist monitoring

Continuous monitoring across the blacklists that affect financial senders, so a listing is caught early and the underlying cause identified rather than guessed at.

A named deliverability specialist

One person accountable for your outcome, who knows how this category is filtered and does not need the context explained every time something changes.

Who this is for

Roles

Sales, GTM and revenue leaders

You own a pipeline number in a category where every send is scrutinised, and you cannot currently prove how much of your outbound is even arriving.

Company profile

Fintech and financial services

Payments, lending, banking infrastructure, crypto and adjacent businesses running active outbound into inboxes that filter financial mail harder than most.

Trigger

Deliverability is now a risk, not a nuisance

Placement has become unpredictable, or you are about to scale sending and would rather not find out the hard way how a financial-services domain gets treated at volume.

How this compares to setting it up once

Most tools help you get set up. In a category this heavily filtered, what matters is what happens in the months after.

How continuously managed deliverability compares to a one-time setup
What changes The usual approach With Folderly
Getting set up You configure it once and hope it holds We set it up, then keep it right as your stack changes
Knowing it works You can see your emails were sent You can see where they landed, including behind gateways
Being a financial sender You are filtered like everyone else, only harder Your sending is built to survive the extra scrutiny
When something breaks You find out when replies dry up You hear from us the day it starts slipping
Getting it fixed Your team works it out from a dashboard Your specialist fixes it and owns the result
Seamless integration

Fintech deliverability FAQ

Why is fintech email filtered more aggressively?
Financial topics are heavily abused by phishing and fraud, so providers and security gateways apply tighter rules to anything that mentions payments, lending, accounts or investment. Your email is being scored against the worst senders in your category, which means the margin for a configuration mistake is much smaller than it would be elsewhere.
Does this help with security gateways, not just Gmail and Outlook?
Yes, and that distinction matters in this category. A message can be accepted by the receiving server and then quarantined by the gateway in front of the inbox. Seed-based placement testing shows what actually happened rather than what the send log claims.
Is warm-up enough for a financial services domain?
No. Warm-up influences one signal early in a domain’s life. It does not correct authentication, repair reputation history, clean the list, or change how a gateway rule treats financial content. Those are the things deciding whether you land, particularly once volume rises.
How long before we see results?
Diagnosis is fast, usually within the first days. Authentication and configuration errors can be corrected immediately. Rebuilding damaged domain reputation takes weeks, because reputation is earned through consistent sending rather than switched on, and it takes longer in a category that is scrutinised harder.
Does this work with our existing stack?
Yes. Folderly manages the infrastructure underneath your sending stack rather than replacing any part of it, so your sequencer, CRM and ESP stay where they are.
What does it cost?
Pricing is per mailbox, so it scales with the size of your sending operation rather than with company headcount. The right figure depends on how many mailboxes you run and whether you need the audit or validation service alongside the platform.
What happens if one of our domains gets blacklisted?
Blacklist monitoring runs continuously, so you hear it from us rather than from a prospect. Your specialist works through the cause with you, because getting removed without fixing what caused the listing only buys you a few weeks.

The deliverability platform that compounds your outbound.
